BARTOW, Ga. - Charles Everett Seymour, 74, loving husband of Wynell Lowell Seymour, entered into rest Thursday morning, April 2, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the James Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mitch Vaughn officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in the Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park, FL. One of four children born to the late Mary Dearth Seymour and the late Edward Carl Seymour, Charles grew up in Chillicothe, Ohio. After graduating from high school, Charles joined the Navy, retiring after 31 years of service as Senior Chief Aviation Fire Control Technician. He then worked as a civil servant in electronics, retiring a second time after 11 years of service. Charles was also an ordained minister and was a member of Westside Living Word Church in Jacksonville FL where he had a nursing home ministry. He made his home in Bartow in 2012 to be closer to his family. Charles played guitar, sang and wrote songs: he especially liked blue grass and gospel music. He cherished his family and was happiest in their presence. Charles has left a great void filled with wonderful memories. Charles is also preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Lee Faircloth; one brother who died in WWII; and two grandchildren, Kelly Wilson and Justin Smith. Survivors include his children, Cathy Albert and Jacqueline Willingham; two siblings, Carl Seymour and Shirley Seymour; seven grandchildren, Annie King, Andreana McNeely (Al), Heather Crapson, Darla Smith, John Wilson (Tish), Cecil Smith and Charles Smith; and 17 great-grandchildren.
