LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Mr. Curtis Harold Schroeder, 89, of Dallas Street, entered into rest on Monday, January 5, 2015 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2015 at Goshen Baptist Church with Rev. Robert D. Adams officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Edmunds, Eddie Holloway, David Moss, Lee Moss, Bob Norman, Walker Norman, and Ben Timmerman. Mr. Schroeder was the son of the late Otto and Ellen Slay Schroeder of Tignall, GA. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country honorably during the Korean War. Mr. Schroeder had retired from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. Survivors include his wife, Emogene G. Schroeder; one son, Harold Schroeder and wife, Carol of Lincolnton; one daughter, Susan Rule and husband, Mike of Martinez, GA.; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
