BLYTHE, Ga. - David LaVerne Hunt, Jr., 40, entered into rest Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Trinity Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 6:00 P.M., in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Mr. Hunt was born in Augusta. He was a welder and of the Baptist faith. The family said he loved his children and Chinese food. He would light up a room with his grin and his silliness. He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Hunt, Sr. Survivors include his children, David Hunt III of Blythe, Diamond Hunt of Waynesboro, Meadow Hunt and Victoria Cash, both of Blythe; mother, Loretta Chambers and her husband Danny Chambers of Appling and his sister, Shannon Powell of Augusta; nephew and niece, Daniel and Faith Powell of Augusta; step-mother, Darlene Hunt of Waynesboro; step-brothers, Roger Diaz and Larry Diaz of Waynesboro.
