STAPLETON, Ga. - Donald William Warren Sr. born June 13, 1945 passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on January 31, 2016. Don was a saved born again Christian and a member of Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, SC. He loved life and his family. He was a lifelong business owner and his favorite things were spending time with the love of his life Phyllis, playing with grandkids, traveling to the beach or mountains, singing gospel songs while playing the guitar or discussing sports, business, politics or Bible. He was the moral compass for three generations of children. He loved to serve others by working in the children's ministry at church or helping at the Garden City Rescue City Mission. He was loved by all who met him and will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends from 3:00PM-5:00PM on Wednesday February 3rd at the McNeill Funeral Home at 109 Shaw Street, Martinez, GA. The Home going Celebration service will be held at the Berean Baptist Church at 4PM on Thursday February 4th located 2385 GA-88, Hephzibah, GA. with Bro. Stu Waller officiating. Survivors include his wife Phyllis Warren. Sons Evan (Amber) Clark, Shawn (Amy) Martin. Daughters Beverly (Bob) Shelley, Michal (Jeffery) Bonfanti, Melissa (William) Liston, Tiffany (Wayne) Clark, 15 grand-children, and 9 great-grandchildren. Brother James (Pat) Warren and Sister Pat Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents Mack and Birdie Warren, son Donald Warren Jr., Daughters Laurie and Jennifer Warren, and Sisters Juanita Leggett and Arthie Wickline. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in his name to the Garden City Rescue Mission 828 Fenwick St. Augusta, Georgia.
