My deepest sympathy to the family at this sad time. I also worked in the office at Fort Gordon with Mrs Gibbs and Mrs Prescott (who passed on the same day). I have great memories that I will forever cherish.

My deepest sympathy for your loss this day and the trials that came before. God loves and blesses you all, I know in my heart.

Please forgive me if this message becomes too long. Miss Dot Ashe worked for years with Dorothy and her friend, JoAnn Prescott at Fort Gordon. She called me saying that she thinks that it is worth noting that Dorothy and JoAnn worked faithfully, side by side with their desks only about four feet apart and then they are called home on the same day and their obituaries are placed side by side in Tuesday's paper. Perhaps God has honored them both in a special way that some might typically say was a coincidence. Our prayers are with your family. Don Hancock, Augusta, Ga.

At this time of sorrow,
May these truths sustain you ...
Your loved one will always
Be as close as a memory,
And the God of all comfort
Will always be as
Close as a prayer.

I am sad to learn of Mrs. Gibbs' passing. I lost my mother in 1981 and she was Iris Hallman Gibson. We are your family from the King Re-Union. THey are in our Heavenly Reunion now with the Lord, what a glorious choir they must have there now. Sincerely, Judy Gibson Holmes

I just wanted to express my sympathy to the Gibbs family, it was a pleasure to know Mrs. Gibbs and look into her beautiful blue eyes even when we didn't know what she was thinking, you all took very good care of her and I know you will miss her a lot. May God give you the comfort you need at this time, it was a honor and priviledge to helpcare for your love one,

I worked with Dot at Fort Gordon for many years. She was one of the people I sincerely looked up to and learned so much from. She will be missed greatly on this world but is smiling today.
