Mrs. Edna Johnson Bomar, 89, of Langley, SC, wife of the late MSgt. J.C. Bomar, United States Army Ret., entered into rest on Monday, March 27, 2017.

Born in Aiken County, SC, a daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Mamie Walton Johnson, she had been a resident of Centre, AL, before relocating to Langley, SC, over thirty years ago. She retired from the United States Postal Service, where she was a Rural Letter Carrier. She was a member of Highland Pines Baptist Church and the Gold Star Wives Club. Mrs. Bomar enjoyed traveling. More than anything however, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband and parents, family members include nieces and nephews, Linda King and her husband, Kenneth, Langley, SC, Douglas Greene and his wife, Geneva, Langley, SC, Pastor Wesley Greene and his wife, Debbie, Langley, SC and Kathy Swanson and her husband, Gary, Aiken, SC, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will greet friends on (this evening) Tuesday, March 28, 2017, from 6 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at 3 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral & Cremation Service, with Mrs. Bomar's nephew, Pastor Wesley Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery, Langley, SC.
