AUGUSTA, Ga. - Marjorie Elizabeth Creasy entered into rest after a brief and private battle with cancer on April 30, 2016, one day shy of her sixty-third birthday. Beth was born on May 1, 1953 in Mauldin, South Carolina, the eldest daughter of William Bulluck Creasy, Jr. and Elaine Cartier Creasy. A long-time Augusta resident, Beth graduated from the Academy of Richmond County and attended Georgia Southern University. Always the adventurer, she lived abroad in Japan in the 1970s and later settled in Augusta to raise her children. In 1988 she founded Spirit Dancewear, fusing her entrepreneurial spirit and creative talents to build a business that was uniquely her own. Beth was an eternal artist and free spirit. She was a talented seamstress, a creative soul, and an avid collector of friends, beautiful objects, music and art. She is survived by her daughters, Meimi Creasy Hartman and husband Scott of Atlanta, Georgia, and Emily Amber Grove of Augusta, Georgia; granddaughter Shelby Elaine Hartman; and sister Susan Creasy Cignotti and husband David, of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina; her beloved Cairn terrier Marley; and countless cherished relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and many loved pets waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Living Waters Full Gospel Church, 1319 Community Park Road, Augusta, Georgia, with visitation to follow. Please wear bright colors to honor her colorful spirit. Beth was a lifelong animal lover; in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to CairnRescueUSA.com.
