AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Eloise B. Tootsie Walton Carter entered into rest Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Trinity Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 12:00 noon from Beulah Grove Baptist Church, 1434 Poplar Street, Augusta with Reverend Dr. Sam Davis, pastor-officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Eloise Blount Walton Carter was born in Augusta, Georgia. She was a member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church. Eloise was a graduate of Lucy C. Laney Class of 1961 and retired from the Richmond County Board of Education after twenty-four years of service. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pinkie Walton; husband, Warren Carter, Jr. and daughter, Julia Walton Jones. Survivors are daughters, Cynthia Walton, Wanessa Gilmore and Consuella Jenkins; sons, Robert Jerome Walton and Warren M. Carter, Jr.; sisters, Charlotte Tanksley, Tina Walton, Tonya Walton, Valerie (Wiston) Walton-Amos and Rhunette Walton; brothers, Joseph Walton, Charles (Avessta) Walton and Maurice Walton, all of Augusta, Georgia; brother-in-law, Leroy Carter, Millen, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
