AIKEN, S.C. - Entered into rest Thursday February 14, 2013 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Mrs. Emma Ann Washington Jackson, age 72, beloved wife of 58 years of Mr. Thomas Jackson, III married February 15, 1955, and daughter of the late Mr. Louis Washington, II and the late Mrs. Lula Mae Hightower Washington. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah s Witnesses Croft Mill Road with Bro. Charles Devine officiating. Interment will follow in Jessamine Memorial Gardens with Bro. Tim Millard officiating. Mrs. Jackson was a native of Aiken and relocated to Spring Field Gardens Queens New York for 20 years before moving back to Aiken. In Aiken Mrs. Jackson was employed by Smith Kline Beecham as production operator for 13 years, retiring in 1991. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah s Witnesses North Congregation on Croft Mill Road, Aiken. Additional survivors include one son, Thomas (Gloria) Jackson, IV, Edgefield; six daughters, Patricia, Vernae, Connie, Deneen, Angela Jackson all of Aiken and Brenda Jackson, Augusta, GA; one brother, Louis Washington, III Aiken; two sisters, Edith (James) Scarboro, and Ernestine (Bobby Lee) Thomas both of Aiken; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Jackson was predeceased by one son, Lamar Jackson, two brothers, John and James Washington and one sister, Ella Mae Spann. Serving as pallbearers will be, Deon Dunbar, Alvin Harden, George Hicks, Shawn Blocker, Ronald Cleveland, and Reggie Harris. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah s Witnesses North Congregation, 502 Croft Mill Road, Aiken, SC 29801.
