AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Eunice Winfield Wilson, 92, entered into rest at her residence Friday, November 13, 2015. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Rock of Ages C.M.E. Church, 729 Johns Road, Augusta, GA where Rev. Jerry Poole is the pastor. Interment will be held at the Antioch C.M.E. Church Cemetery, Lincolnton, GA. Her body may be viewed after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20th or at the church one hour before the service. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents John and Ella Bentley Winfield, her husband, Lamar Wilson, her daughter, Betty Wilson Wyse, and seven siblings. Eunice attended school in Lincolnton, Georgia. In her early years, she joined Antioch Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, and continued her membership there until her death. She loved her church, and held several positions for many years, to include: Trustee, Stewardess, Missionary treasurer, and Benevolent Fund treasurer. Eunice's career was in service to the Henry and Elizabeth Claussen family where she served for many years. She was a caring person, providing much care to the people of her community, and especially children. Eunice's memories will be cherished by her loving and dedicated sister, Mrs. Mattie Robinson; two devoted and caring nieces, Mrs. Barbara Dixon and Ms. Patricia Winfield; god-sons, Mr. Dennis Miller and Mr. Robert Hampton; god-daughters, Ms. Linda Bentley, Ms. Debra Batchelor, and Ms. Barbara Batchelor; devoted cousin, Mrs. Annie R. Latson, extended family, the Claussens: Ann, Charles, Elizabeth, Henry, Keith; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and dear friend, Mrs. Eunice Parker. W. H.
