THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Eva Williams, age 80, beloved wife of Mr. Leonard Williams, went to be with her Lord Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Thomson Health and Rehabilitation Services. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 25, in Dearing United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kim Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in Dearing Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Williams was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County. She was a supervisor at Thomson Company, and a member of Dearing United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Miles and Eva Mae Miles; 8 brothers and sisters, Edward Miles, Clifford Miles, Leonard Miles, Willard Miles, Rosa Lee Welch, Ida Mae Gay, Myrtle Morris, Mary Phillips and 2 grandchildren, Lisa Williams and lael Williams. Survivors include her husband, Leonard Williams; a son, Gary (Diane) Williams; two grandchildren, Joey (April) Williams and Kelli (Heath) Rogers; five great-grandchildren, Destiny Williams, Sierra Williams, Jason High, Connor Williams, and Keegan Rogers. Friends may call at the residence or the Curtis funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday night at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ray Miles, Bobby Gene Phillips, Julian Miles, Darrell Welch, Jacky Downs, and Buddy Kelley.
