AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Gerald Dupree, 70, son of the late Mr. Robert L. Dupree and Roberta T. Dupree, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Mr. Dupree was a native of Unadilla, GA and later moved to Augusta in 1973. He retired with over 34 years of Civil Service from the United States Signal Center, Fort Gordon, GA. Mr. Dupree held numerous positions, to include Training Instructor, Educations Specialist, Training Specialist and Supervisory Training Specialist. At the time of his retirement, he was a Supervisory Training Specialist in New Systems Training Department of the Regimental Directorate of Training. Before and after his retirement, Mr. Dupree was a dedicated volunteer for the West Augusta Little League. He enjoyed being outdoors and working in his yard. Family members include son: Dereck Christopher Dupree and wife Melissa ; daughter Amanda Nicole Dupree; brothers: Nelson Dupree and the late Dr. Elton Dupree; grandchildren: Cailey, Jackson, and Maggie Dupree. A private burial service will be held at a later date.
