Mr. Gonsilee Pontoo, age 86, of 3908 Wagener Road, 29805 died at University Hospital, Augusta, GA Monday, May 8, 2017. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Curtis Belton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Gonsilee was a former employee of Aiken County School District where he worked as an electrician for 60 plus years.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Abraham and Pearlie Gantt Pontoo, his wife, Delores Schofield Pontoo, and his siblings, Abraham Pontoo, Linner Mae Bussey, and Olin Pontoo.

His survivors include: three daughters, Gwendolyn Pontoo, Augusta, GA, Belinda Pontoo, Aiken, SC, and Joyce P. Floyd, Columbia, SC; three sons, Ronnie Pontoo, Wayne Pontoo, and Glenn (Felicia) Pontoo, all of Aiken, SC; one sister, Juanita P. Tyler Aiken, SC; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Mary Pontoo, Betty Gomillion, and Maxine Schofield; brothers-in-law, Rosmond McCreary, Bonnie McCreary, and Robert Rowe; and a host of other relatives and loving friends.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 PM at Jackson-Brooks Memorial Chapel.
