AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mother Helen M. Fuller Taylor entered into rest Friday, January 16, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Friendly Church of God in Christ, 1115 Carrie Street, Augusta, with Elder Leroy James, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. Mother Helen M. Fuller Taylor was born September 26, 1918, in Albermarle, North Carolina to the late Myles Gibbs and Annie Bell Widerman Gibbs. She received her education in the public schools of Albermarle and Richmond County. She graduated from Louvenia's School of Cosmetology as a master cosmetologist. Mother Taylor was a faithful member of Friendly Church of God in Christ. She was active as a Sunday School teacher, working with the Sunshine Band, the Mothers in Zion Choir and the Mother's Board. Survivors are one sister, Annie M. Sewell, Monroe, SC; three grandchildren, Helene (Byron) Robinson, Houston, TX, Bernard Holt, Atlanta, GA and Michael (Monica) Holt, Berlin, Germany; a special cousin, Naomi Moody, Augusta, GA; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
