AUGUSTA, Ga. - Graveside Services for Mrs. Hide Sano Black, 84, of Keeling Place, Augusta, Georgia, who entered into rest November 5, 2016, will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock in Westover Memorial Park. Mrs. Black was a native of Japan, having made Augusta her home for the past 57 years. She was a member of The Augusta Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mrs. Black was an inspiration to all of her children and everyone that met her. She was smart, creative, crafty and could sew, knit and crochet. Many times she worked until the early hours to sew special occasion dresses for her daughters. Her love of gardening was evident in her beautiful iris and daylily displays. She was a true blessing and a gift to all who knew her. Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Billy R. Black; two sons, Steve (Noreen) Black, Grovetown and Michael Black, Lexington, SC; two daughters, Cathy Sheeley, Chesapeake, Virginia and Linda (Jeffrey) Johnson, Las Vegas, NV; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Judd C. Hickey Center, c/o , 106 SRP Drive, Suite A, Evans, Georgia 30809.
