AUGUSTA, Ga. - Jacquelyn "Jackie" Bannister Ciechan, age 89, of Augusta, entered into rest on Friday, July 8, 2016. Jackie retired after 30 years with the Augusta Chronicle, in the Classified Ad Department, and she was professionally known as Miss Lake. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Stratford and Lillian Bannister, and brother, Cuthbert Bannister. She is survived by her children, Dr. Matthew R. Ciechan III, MD, Augusta, Lisa (Donnie) Scarboro, Augusta, and Michael (Penny Herrinton) Ciechan, Augusta; grandchildren, Jennifer Vazquez, Megan Poole, Steven Ciechan, Kelly Ciechan, Jennifer Greene, Michelle Marzolf, Christopher Ciechan, and Aubrey Ciechan; and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 11, 2016, 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., at Arlington Burial & Cremation, 1220 George C. Wilson Dr. Ste C, Augusta, GA 30909. 762-994-0311.
