Adkins Retired Farmer WARRENTON, Ga. - Mr. James Wallace Adkins, age 65, of Cedar Street, died Sunday evening, July 3, 2016 at Doctors Hospital - Augusta. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday July 6, 2016, at Lowe Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Casper officiating. Burial will follow in the Sallie Hill Cemetery. A native of Wilkes County, GA, Mr. Adkins was the son of Mrs. Ruby Adkins and the late Mr. James C. Adkins. A lifelong resident of Warren County, he was a 1969 graduate of Warren County High School and a retired farmer with Stewart Farms. Mr. Adkins was a member of Harvest Time Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Adkins of Warrenton; his mother, Ruby Adkins of Jewell; a son, Brent Adkins of Dearing; three daughters, Daphne McMunn of Lincolnton, Angela McVleen of Clinton, TN, Melissa Purvis of North Augusta, SC; a sister, Lydia Grant of Crawfordville; a brother, Charles Adkins of Jewell; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
