"Bubba" HARLEM, Ga. - Mr. James Daniel "Bubba" Allen, age 39, entered into rest Tuesday, November 17, 2015. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, November 21, at Whiteoak United Methodist Church with Rev. Bart Grey and Rev. Alvin Taylor officiating; burial will follow in church cemetery. Mr. Allen was a life-long resident of Harlem. He was an Engineer with the CSX Railroad for 15 years and a member of Whiteoak United Methodist Church. He was the president of Local Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Survivors include his parents, Pete and Edith Allen, Harlem; brother, Kevin (Valarie) Allen, Harlem; sister, Renee Edwards, Warrenton; four nephews, Matt Edwards, Blake Allen, Brenner Allen, and Barrett Allen. Pallbearers will be Bryce Whiddon, Brandon Fullbright, Jason Welch, Jason Jones, Damon Powell and Marty Griner. If so desired, memorial may be made to Whiteoak Campground, P.O. Box 1834 Thomson, Georgia 30824. Friends may call at the residence or Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
