WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Mr. James Harry Jimmy Baker, age 76, of Warrenville, S.C., loving husband of Libby Powell Baker and son of the late Harry A. Baker and the late Bessie Mae Holloway Baker, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Wednesday, April 3, 2013. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Judy Baker of Warrenville, S.C. and Shannon (Ronnie) Arthur of North Augusta, S.C.; a son, Ernie Baker of Warrenville, S.C.; a brother, Pete Baker of Clarke Hill, S.C. and two grandchildren, Nick and Nikki Arthur. He was born in Warrenville and had lived in various parts of Aiken County, including Trenton and Belvedere, S.C. He was a retired electrical technician with Graniteville Company and was a proud U.S. Army Reserves Veteran. He was of the Baptist Faith. Jimmy, as he was so fondly known to his family and many friends, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during the 76 precious years that God granted him on this earth; however, death cannot destroy fond memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening, April 5th from 7:00 until 9:00 PM. A graveside service celebrating his life will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Heyward Horton officiating. The pallbearers will be Ernie Baker, Ronnie Arthur, Nick Arthur, Milledge Pee Wee Day, Dale Williams and Tony Chapman. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM. Memorials, in Jimmy s honor, may be made to Trinity Hospice, 690 Medical Park Drive, Suite 400, Aiken, S.C. 29801. The family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Trinity Hospice for the wonderful care that they extended to their loved one during his illness.
