NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. James Edwin "Jim" Harley, 67, beloved husband of forty-one years to Mrs. Mary Ann Harley, entered into rest on Monday, January 26, 2015, with his family at his side. Born in Bethesda, MD, a son of the late Edwin Lucius and Mary Walker Harley, Jim had been a lifelong resident of North Augusta. He graduated from North Augusta High School in 1965 and furthered his education, graduating with top honors from Midlands Tech and later attended USCA. He retired from AT&T after thirty-five years of service. He attended Belvedere First Christian Church. Jim was an avid rider of BMW Motorcycles, was a member of M.O.B. Motor Cycle Club, was an early member of the Airheads Motorcycle Club, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, spending time at his mountain home, riding motorcycles, camping with friends and being outdoors. In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Brad Harley and his wife, Bliss, Spartanburg, SC and Crystal Ross and her husband, Jeff, Lexington, SC; siblings, Jean Johnson, Hampton, GA, David Harley, Edgefield, SC, Brenda Whiteaker, North Augusta, SC and Randy Harley, Cosby, TN; grandchildren, Sabrina and Christen Harley and Sydney and Brayden Ross and his four-legged children, Obie, Andy and Emma. In accordance with his wishes, Jim will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 4 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Barb Koch officiating. The family would like to thank members of the M.O.B. Motorcycle Club and members of the Augusta Supper Club for the care and support they provided to Jim and the family.
