AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. James "Jimmy" C. Rigdon, 76, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital of Augusta. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Bible Deliverance Temple with Dr. Kelly McKnight officiating. Mr. Rigdon was a native of Oliver, GA (Bulloch County), but had lived in Augusta for 46 years. He retired from the Graniteville Company after 37 years service and retired from Sizemore Security Services after 13 years service. He was a former coach for the Richmond County Recreation Department for 15 years, for the Columbia County Recreation Department for 6 years and for the Boy's Club of Augusta for 15 years. He was a member of Bible Deliverance Temple. Mr. Rigdon was preceded in death by his parents, Carl L. Rigdon, Sr. and Bertha Joiner Rigdon and by his son, Ricky Allen Smith. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Runetta Griffin Rigdon, Augusta, GA; sons, Britt Smith (Carla), Lexington, SC, James "Jamie" C. Rigdon, Jr. (Stacey), Pensacola, FL and daughter, Shari Smith North (Scott), Charlotte, NC; 13 grandchildren, Leigh Smith, Josh Smith, Heather Smith, Ashlyn Smith, Tyler North, Bradley North, James Rigdon III, Chandler Rigdon, Hunter Rigdon, Matthew Rigdon, Chase Rigdon, Grayson Rigdon and Sharilynn Rigdon; 3 great-grandchildren, Caleb Fearneyhough, Landon Fearneyhough and Jace North; brother, Carl L.
