Mr. James Willie Sturgis entered into rest on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at his residence. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Beulah Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Gladys Moore officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Survivors are his daughters, Elnora Knight, Laura Dunn, Wonlee Johnson Smith, Dorothy Sturgis, Margueritt Sturgis; sons, Leroy (Betty) Sturgis, Donald Sturgis, James F. (Christine) Sturgis; stepdaughters, Mary (Billy) Blakely, Valerie (Joseph) Glover, Vicky Mincey, Brenda (Darryl) Dicks, Mary (Charles) Deloach, Sandra (Richard) Myers; stepson, Ronnie (Shelia) Holliman; twenty grandchildren; thirty nine great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren; twelve step grandchildren; fourteen step great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives; and a special friend, Alma Simpkins. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Old Piney Baptist Church, Jessie Drive, Martinez, GA.
