"Jerry" Blalock NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Dorris Gerald "Jerry" Blalock, 68, affectionately known a "Piddler", beloved husband of twenty-nine years to Mrs. Debra Sosby Cail Blalock, entered into rest in the comfort of his home on Monday, August 29th, 2016. Born Ft. White, FL, a son of the late Forrest and Eunice Waters Blalock, he had been an area resident for the past thirty-one years. A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a former employee of CTL Distribution. Jerry enjoyed boating, camping and had "unique" fishing techniques. In addition to his wife and parents, family members include children, Royce Leon "Buck" Blalock, North Augusta, SC, Connie Blalock, North Augusta, SC, Joshua Cail and his wife, Jennifer, Menifee, CA and Mackenzie "Corey" Green, Lakeland, FL; siblings, Jewel Donnely, Cedartown, GA, Jenniev Blalock, Diane Tanner, Marion Gilardo and Morris Blalock, all of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Marcus Wells Bos, Coty Thompson, Gregory "Tad" Brady, Elizabeth "Courtland" Thompson, Morgan Cail and Emma Cail, great-grands, Landon Bos and Noah Brady and numerous children who weren't his own but he loved just as they were. In accordance with his wishes, Jerry will be cremated and a memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, September 1st, 2016, at 2 o'clock at the family residence. The family would greatly appreciate memorials in Jerry's name being made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
