GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Mr. Jesse C. Cromer, 87, husband of sixty-six years to Mrs. Jimmie Lee Cromer, entered into rest on Sunday, December 20th, 2015, in the comfort of his home, under the loving care of Advantage Hospice. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he was a son of the late Clarence J. and Eunice Rushton Cromer. He was a member of Clearwater First Baptist Church, had been a former Supervisor at Clearwater Finishing Plant for thirty-eight years and retired from F.M.C. after ten years of service. A Korean War Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed playing the guitar, while Miss Jimmie would sing along, working within the church and yardwork. More than anything however, he enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his wife and parents, family members include a daughter, Susan Toole and her husband, Don, North Augusta, SC; son, Mark Cromer and his wife, Paula, North Augusta, SC; grandchildren, Rebekah Waller and her husband, Brandon, Traver Toole and his wife, Caroline, Paul Cromer and his wife, Melanie, and Cole Cromer and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Pace Waller and Adalyn Mae Cromer, who will be born in April 2016. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, December 27th, 2015, at 2 o'clock at Clearwater First Baptist Church, Clearwater, SC, with Pastor John Bolin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Paul Cromer, Cole Cromer, Traver Toole, Tony Cromer, Brandon Waller and Bruce Cromer. (www.alz.org) The family would like to thank caregivers, Patsy Randall, Tamara Price and Marshall Isaac, as well as Trinity Home Health, Advantage Hospice and VA Homebased Healthcare for the loving care and support provided to Mr. Cromer and the rest of the family. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 1 until 2 o'clock at Clearwater First Baptist Church.
