SALUDA, S.C. - Jesse L. Temple, 92, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Hospice House in Greenwood, SC. Born in Edgefield County and a son of the late Jesse Lawrence Temple and Myrtie Willings Powell and stepson of the late Wilbur Powell, he was the husband of Mary Alice Deloach Temple. Mr. Temple was a US Army veteran during World War II. He was a former employee with Graniteville Mills and a retired farmer. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary Alice Deloach Temple; sons, Jesse William Temple and Rev. Jerry Temple (Marian); daughters, Gail Worrell (John) and Jan Stone (the late Dwight); four grandchildren, Jason Rinehart, Jessica White, Tim Worrell and Geoffrey Temple and three great-grandchildren, Tristan, Taylor and Falyn. A graveside service will be held 3:30 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2015 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Patricia Amick and Rev. Jerry Temple officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
