HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Ms. Joann Partridge Thomason, 74, entered into rest Thursday, February 5, 2015 at University Hospital. Mrs. Thomason was born in Leah, Ga. to the late Ernest J. and Annie Holsomback Partridge. She is the wife of Merlin E. Partridge. Mrs. Thomason was a member of First Baptist church of Evans, where she served as the Sunday School Secretary for almost 40 years. She retired from that position on December 14, 2014. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Evans with Reverend Philip Hedgecoth officiating. Committal services will follow at First Baptist Church of Evans Cemetery. Mrs. Thomason will lie in state from one hour prior to the service. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Thomason is survived by two sons, Phillip Nelson and Kenneth Nelson, both of Evans, Ga.; daughter, Kathy Nelson of Evans, Ga.; two step-daughters, Kay Lynn Witherite and Cindy Colohan; brother, William Partridge (Jane) of Hephzibah, Ga.; three sisters, Louise Hayes of Evans, Ga., Ann Youngblood of Oxford, Al, and June Glisson of Grovetown, Ga.; four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Thomason was preceded in death by a son, Donald Nelson and a daughter, Debbie Walton. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Evans, P.O.
