AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. John Henry Green, 89, of Lake Ave., Augusta, GA, entered into rest on Friday, February 20, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 23, 2015, in Dearing Full Gospel Church with Rev. Bobby Burkett and Dr. Bobby Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Harlem Memorial Cemetery. A native of Augusta, GA, Mr. Green worked in the textile industry. He retired from construction as a roofer. He was a master gardener, and loved to play country and gospel music throughout the CSRA. Mr. Green was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship and Dearing Full Gospel Church. Survivors include his son, Johnny E. "Bubba" Green; five daughters, Brenda Godfrey (Otis), Shirley Green, Reba Tucker (William "Buddy"), Melinda Holloway (Terrell) and Nellie Piatchek; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Eric Browning, John Stevenson, David Reeves, Bryan Poston, Daniel Poston, Chris Denton, Scotty Prickett and Walter Browning. If so desired, memorials may be made to the
