Retired GBI Agent EVANS, Ga. - Entered into rest on September 19, 2015 at Doctors Hospital after a brief illness. Joe was born at Ft. Kent, Maine, June 6, 1940. He is survived by his wife Maryjane Brown, son Brian Brown and granddaughter Katelyn Brown. She called Joe Grandpa . They had a very special relationship. He also leaves a beloved pet named Beau. Additional survivors include 2 brothers, Stanley and Everett, 3 sisters, Dona, Sharon, and Janice, and several nieces and nephews, brother in law, James (sue) Ball of Knoxville, TN, nephew, Mike Vineyard, Friendsville, TN, Dr. Brad Ball, Dublin, Ga., niece Nikki Ball, Signal Mtn., Tn. He was a Staff Sgt. in the Army/ He worked at the Georgia State Revenue and retired from the Ga. Bureau of Investigation in 1995. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Dr. Brad Ball officiating. There will be no visitation.
