June Cabe Obituary

LAVONIA, Ga. - Mrs. June Channell Cabe, age 82, of Bowman Street, Lavonia, widow of Larry W. Cabe, died Tuesday, April 22, at Hart Care Center following a long illness. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law: W. Chan & Lou Cabe of Carnesville; sister: Rebecca Byce of Martinez; brother: J. H. Channell of Conyers; and six grandchildren: Carrie Cabe, Christie Cabe, Cathie Cabe, Alex Cabe, Will Cabe and Josh Cabe. She was preceded in death by her parents: Horace Hampton "Bud" Channel and Damy Lea (Ingram) Channell; husband of 60 years: Larry Walton Cabe; and son: Walton L. Cabe. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens - North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hart Care Center, Resident Memorial Care Fund, P.O. Box 766, Hartwell, GA 30643 or the Lavonia United Methodist Church, 25 Baker Street, Lavonia, GA 30553. Strickland Funeral Home - Lavonia Chapel has charge of arrangements.
