Born June Lida Roscoe on March 21, 1935, in Winston-Salem, NC, she grew up in Atlanta, GA, and moved to Augusta in 1972, where she worked at WRDW Channel 12 for a decade. June is preceded in death by her parents, Olive Bell Williams Roscoe and George Harold Roscoe; sister, Jacqueline Roscoe; and the love of her life, Colonel Robert Perley, U.S. Army, retired. June is survived by four daughters, Robin Jarrell and her husband, Chris Boyatzis; Kelly Gordon and her husband Gary Gordon; Gaffney Jarrell and her partner Kim Ward; and her "bonus" daughter, Julie Hayes Avrett; and granddaughters, Janine Merolla and Sedona Boyatzis. A memorial service will held Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 2230 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904, Reverend Robert Fain officiating.
