GREENWOOD, S.C. - Karen Fitch Boggs, 49, resident of 103 Gentry Run, wife of Bishop Samuel Ray Boggs entered her Heavenly rest that she had been preparing for since she was five years old on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Born in Florence, February 22, 1966, she was a daughter of Betty Jean Farmer McKenzie and the late Reverend Gerald Mitchell Fitch. Mrs. Boggs earned an Associate's Degree in accounting from Aiken Technical College and had attended Holmes Bible College. She had supported her husband's twenty-nine year ministry in the International Pentecostal Holiness Church and was passionate about the Belize Mission Field, having traveled there many times spreading the love of Jesus. She was an active member of the Upper South Carolina IPHC Minister's Wives Fellowship. A member of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mrs. Boggs was a member of the Women's Ministry, Sunday School Class and the Praise Team of the church. Surviving in addition to her husband of twenty-nine years of the home and her mother and step-father, Alton McKenzie of Olanta are four children, Samuel Brett Boggs, Bryson Ray Boggs, Michael Braden Boggs and Braelyn Hope Boggs, all of the home; brother, Gerald Mitchell Fitch, Jr. and wife Miyuki of Watkinsville, GA; niece, Lillian Fitch; and nephew, Aiden Fitch. Celebration services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 PM from the Upper South Carolina IPHC Conference Campground, 115 Beech Springs Church Road, Pelzer 29669, with Bishop Doug Beacham, Dr. Terry Bailey and Reverend Berry McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow at 5:00 PM at Oakbrook Memorial Park with Bishop James Leggett officiating. Pallbearers will be Myron Tony, Chris Smith, Herb Sizemore, Preston Koschel, Larry Cason and Rufus Padgett. Honorary escort will be ministers and spouses of the Upper South Carolina IPHC Conference, ministers and spouses of the IPHC and members of the Greenwood Christian School Varsity Football Team. The body is at Blyth Funeral Home. The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service hour at the Upper South Carolina Conference IPHC Campground.
