LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Mrs. Laverne M. Hardy, formerly of Elberton Hwy., died on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington. Mrs. Hardy, daughter of the late Robert Hammond Martin and late Lucille Crook Partridge, had lived in Lincolnton all of her life. She retired from Lincolnton Dry Cleaners, was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion #194. Her family includes: daughter: Hope Gwinn and husband Boyd of Grovetown; granddaughter: Emily Gwinn, Augusta; sisters: Virginia M. Turner and husband Ed of Lincolnton, Eleanor M. Colvin, Thomson; special friend: Jackie Crook and husband Jackson of Lincolnton. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Robert "Jim" Martin. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 21st at 2pm at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Fernandez officiating. Interment will follow in the Lincolnton City Cemetery.
