AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Lola Belle Bacon, 68, of Augusta, entered into rest on Monday, April 7, 2008 at the residence. She was the beloved wife of the late L. G. Bacon. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Fleming Christian Church with Reverend Jerry Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. A native of Columbus, Georgia, Lola was the daughter of the late John Wesley Culpepper and the late Lillie Belle Chapman Culpepper. She had lived in Augusta for the past thirty years. Lola was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include four sons; Leon Bacon of Augusta, Ga., Michael Bacon of Augusta, Ga., Alfonso Bacon of Wagner, S.C., and Matthew Bacon of Augusta, Ga.; one daughter, Angela Bacon of Augusta, Ga.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Jennie Miller of Ewing, N.J. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, April 12, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road. Memorial contributions may be made to the
