WASHINGTON, Ga. - Mrs. Louise Lokey Williams, 90, of Sheraton Drive entered into rest November 23, 2015 at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Williams was a lifelong resident of Wilkes County, GA and the daughter of the late James Lokey and the late Ila Farr Lokey. She was elected as the Wilkes County Tax Commissioner in 1960 and served for many years. Mrs. Williams also served as the Chairman of the Wilkes County Heart Unit and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Washington. She was an avid golfer, bridge player, reader, Georgia Tech fan, and she loved her grand dogs, Fifi and Coco. For the past 4 years she has resided at the Harper's Personal Care Home where she has received exceptional care. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Williams; husband, Ruffin Williams; sisters, Christine Wall, Florence Candler, Blanche Young, Mary Fannie Rautenberg; brother, Bo Lokey and nephew, Charlie Candler. Survivors include her daughter, Candace Williams of Evans, GA; nephews, Fred Young (Janet) of Florida, Randy Young (Nancy) of Washington, GA; niece, Susan Middlebrooks (Tracy) of Augusta, GA; God grandchildren, Hillary Murrah of Grovetown and Courtney Murrah of Evans, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Friday, November 27, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, Washington, with Rev. Albert Huyck and Rev. Thomas Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: David Hunter, Buzzy Randall, John Murrah, Bill Smith, Dave Hunter, Dan Hunter, Andy Hunter and Neal Hunter. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Friday at the church prior to the service. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia, is in charge.
