AUGUSTA, Ga. - Lucretia Lucas Self, 92, widow of the late Clyde E. Self, entered into rest Monday, February 1, 2016, at Westwood Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 4, 2016, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Pastor Rich Bowen and Pastor Stephen Black officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Self, daughter of the late Cleve and Effie Miller Lucas, was a native of Portal, GA. She retired from Dymo Corporation and was a member of New Hope Worship Center and attended Solomon's Porch. She is survived by her son, Wayne Self, of Augusta; her grandchildren, Sabrina Muller, of Grovetown, Kevin Self, of Evans, and Alexis K. Holt, of Augusta; five great grandchildren; her brother, John Cleve Lucas, of Sevierville, TN; and her sister, Lexie Ellis, of Statesboro, GA. Pallbearers will be Willie McClain Jr., Chris Lee, Kevin Self, Jimmy Pearre, Paul Muller, and Johnny Lucas. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Worship Center, 715 S. Old Belair Rd, Grovetown, GA 30813. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
