EVANS, Ga. - Mr. Luis Alberto Perez, 68, beloved husband of 42 years of Sherry Hagberg Perez, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at his residence after a hard fought battle with cancer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date. Mr. Perez, a 20 year veteran of the United States Army, served in Vietnam and in the Gulf War during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He retired from SRS Westinghouse, and was a devoted husband who loved his family. In addition to his wife, Sherry, he is survived by his stepsons, J. Brian Baynham and Dr. Stephen Baynham (Pamela); his sisters, Rosa Lane (Jerry), Dinah Guilfoyle (Joe) and Arsi Sumpter (Doug); his two grandchildren, Emily Perez Baynham and Brooke Elice Baynham; his brother-in-law, Gene Hagberg (Juanita); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
