The spiritual and caring wife and mother's life began as the fourth child of five siblings to the Reverend Lloyd C. Harden and Mrs. Maude Hill Harden on August 29, 1928 in Washington, Georgia. She was the loving and devoted wife of Retired U. S. Army Staff Sergeant Archie M. Jackson. She was raised a Christian in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. When she moved to Augusta, she became an active member of Ward Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, serving as; Superintendent of the Sunday School, Youth Advisor, Church Secretary, President of the Senior Choir. In 1968, after her husband retired from the United States Army, she affiliated with Cumming Grove Baptist Church, so they could worship together. Her love for the church led her to share her many gifts and talents as Secretary of the Senior Choir, Secretary of the Trustees Wives Club, Secretary of the Deaconess Ministry, Member of the Mass Choir, Sister-Sister Ministry and Chaplin of the Senior Mission. In her professional life, she graduated from Luvenia's School of Cosmetology, where she earned her Masters' Cosmetology License from the State of Georgia. Later, she taught cosmetology for 30 years at Martha Moore's School of Cosmetology and Page's University of Cosmetology. Her career allowed her to travel extensively with the National Beauty Cultural League where she served in many capacities, including, President of the Augusta Chapter. She was a quiet and soft spoken leader that made an exceptional impact on the lives of many, especially her family. She was the strength behind the many traditions that her family enjoyed during time well spent on each holiday, special occasions and just "family time". Her amazing example of a loving and devoted wife, supportive, nurturing mother and kind, generous friend leaves an impact that will always be cherished. Luvenia transitioned this earth on May 4, 2015. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted husband, U.S. Army Retired Staff Sargent Deacon Archie M. Jackson. Children: one son, Alphonso C.
