AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ms. Margaret Brisbone entered into rest on April 6, 2016. March 28, 1933, was a beautiful Spring day in the lives of Turner and Fannie Bell Stephens when a baby girl was born in Columbia County, GA. They named her Margaret. Margaret received her education in the Columbia County Public School System and later moved to Stamford, CT. In 1994, she retired after 35 years of service with the Homestead Health Center in Stamford, CT and moved back to Augusta, GA. She was married to the late James Brisbone. She is preceded in death by her son, the late John E. Brisbone; three brothers, Sam Stephens, Charlie Stephens, Richard Daggett; and one sister, Lucy Mae Pearson. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning" .On April 6, 2016, Margaret answered the call. The voice whispered softly saying. "Margaret, you are tired, weary and worn, come home my child, come home." Margaret bowed to the will of God Almighty and went home to be with her Savior. Margaret's memories will be cherished by her loving daughters, Emma White and Jeanette Robinson of Augusta, GA; one sister, Lela Mae Hunt of Hephzibah, GA; one grandson, Michael Strickland of Stamford, CT; one granddaughter, Mamie (Ronald) Kelly of Hephzibah, GA; one great-grandson, Trevez Moses of Hephzibah, GA; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 5-7pm, Friday, April 8, 2016 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road. Funeral services will be held 1pm, Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Kelly officiating.
