CLEARWATER, S.C. - Mrs. Marion E. Clayton, 88, widow of Mr. Randolph Clayton, entered into rest in the comfort of her home on Sunday, September 25th, 2016. Born in Greenville, SC and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Perry C. and Ida Mae Burrell Buckner. She retired from Babies-R-Us after twenty-years where she was a Buyer/Manager and was a member of Clearwater First Baptist Church, Clearwater, SC. Mrs. Clayton enjoyed gardening, flowers and baking for her grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children, Sheryl Mishoe, Charleston, SC and Thomas "Buster" Waters and his wife, Esther, Graniteville, SC; step-children, Randy Clayton, Byron Clayton and the late Helen Randall, siblings, Ola Mae Taylor, Augusta, GA, Evelyn Waters, Clearwater, SC, Sylvia Smith, TN, Mary McCord, Clearwater, SC, Nina Adams, TX, John Buckner, AZ, Bobby Buckner, Augusta, GA, the late Marie Creed and the late Robert Buckner, grandchildren, Gordon Mishoe, Paul Waters, Jeff Waters, Josh Waters and the late Clay Mishoe and six great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends on Thursday, September 29th, 2016, from 1 until 1:45 at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A graveside service will follow at 2 o'clock in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC, with Pastor John Bolin officiating. It has been suggested by the family, that if so desired, memorials be made to the building fund at Clearwater First Baptist Church.
