WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Mrs. Martha Cunningham Prothman, 56, of Warrenville, entered into rest on Saturday, April 14th, 2012, with her loving and devoted husband of forty years, Hale, at her side. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Mirene Colbert Cunningham. She received her Associates in Accounting from Aiken Technical College and was a former employee of the Augusta Housing Authority. Martha was a dedicated member of Langley Church of God where she had served as Secretary until her health began to decline. She and Hale enjoyed fishing and camping at Lake Greenwood with friends who were much more like family, Chester and Eugenia Enlow. Martha loved her family very much and always put their needs above her own. As previously stated, she loved her family very much but her grandchildren, Stephanie Jones, Austin Prothman, Dylan Prothman and Avery Prothman, held a very special place in her heart. In addition to her husband, parents and grandchildren, family members include her children, Heather Prothman Jones, (Bryan) Columbia and Brandon Prothman, (Amanda) North Augusta; siblings, Linda Riley, (Ricky) Bath and the late James Wiley (Gail) and Gary Safley, (Judy) Evans. She is also survived by her church family and very special friends, Wayne and Ann Roof. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, April 17th, 2012, at 2 o clock at Langley Church of God, with Pastor Benny Burton and Chaplain Sharon Blount officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville. Pallbearers will be Chester Enlow, Wayne Roof, Kenneth Rutland, Darnell Ashley, James Cosnahan and Wayne Holland. If so desired, memorials may be made to the Church of God Home for Children, P.O. Box 430 Mauldin, SC 29662. ( Friends are welcome at the home. Please visit our website to share memories of Martha. The family will greet friends on Monday, April 16th, 2012, from 6 until 8 o clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC.
