APPLING, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Sisk Maddox, 59, entered into eternal rest on August 27, 2016. The greatest gift that Mary brought to this world was the value of loving unconditionally. She shared this love with her family in the biggest way. She shared love, kindness and hope to those in need. She taught us all the power of forgiveness. She obeyed God's greatest command and that was to love, because love always wins. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Billy Maddox. Left to cherish her memories is her son, Brandon J. (Annie) Underwood; grandchildren, Austin King, Alexis King and Alan King; parents, Ray and Jean Sisk; sister, Patty Sisk Whitaker; niece, Megan Whitaker; great-nephews, Carter Whitaker and Camden Carter; brothers-in-law, Donald Maddox, Joseph Maddox and Mike (Katy) Maddox; sister-in-law, Judy (Bill) Lampkin; very special family friends, Sandra Tho and Haleigh Morris; and many other nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends 6 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Memorial services will be 11 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2016.
