CLEARWATER, S.C. - Ms. Melba E. Stewart Garrett, of Willingham Drive, entered into rest October 21, 2015 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Old Storm Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Martris Mims officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Ms. Garrett, a native of Aiken County was a member of Old Storm Branch Baptist Church where she served on the pastor's aide ministry, willing workers ministry and the sanctuary choir. Survivors include three sons, Bernard (Charlene) Garrett, Bruce A. Garrett, Jon W. Garrett; two daughters, Cynthia Harris and Angela G. (Terry) Mims all of Clearwater, SC; a brother, Rufus (Fannie) Stewart, Clearwater, SC; two sisters, Dorothy Roberson, Clearwater, SC and Catherine (Nathaniel) James, Detroit, MI; a devoted companion, Sam Moore, North Augusta, SC; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
