AIKEN, S.C. - Ms. Mildred "Lilly" Settles, age 75, entered eternal life on Monday, August 17, 2015 in Augusta, GA. She was the daughter of the late Walter Settles, Sr. and Leila Barnes Settles. Funeral services will be held 12 PM (Viewing 11am-12pm), Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Second Providence Baptist Church, North Augusta, with Reverend Dr. Albert M. James Pastor/Eulogist, and Reverend Ronnie O. Spry, Presiding. Burial will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens, 1523 Edgefield Hwy, Aiken. She was born and raised in Edgefield County, and later moved to live in Aiken, SC. She was a faithful member of the Second Providence Baptist Church in North Augusta, SC. She loved spending time with her family. She had a passion for attending church, gardening, fishing, and home improvements. She was also an excellent cook. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, David Drumming Jr., Aiken, SC, Rodney Drumming, Concord, CA; three daughters, Fredrica (Harry) Newman Jr., Aiken, SC, Mildred (Randy) Alleyene, Fulton, MD, and Pamela (Stan) Smith, Jackson, SC; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.
