SAVANNAH, Ga. - Minnie Pauline Daniel Tucker, 95, passed away on Wednesday, January, 20, 2016. Her life will be cherished by her family and friends alike. Mrs. Tucker was born in Burke County, Georgia on January 1, 1921. Her parents were James Carswell Daniel and Agnes Lucile Daniel. She was a graduate of Vidette High School in Vidette, GA. She was an employee of the Federal government for 23 years and worked for the General Services Administration at the time of her retirement in 1981. Mrs. Tucker and her husband, Norris, lived in a number of locations around the nation and in Guam prior to Norris' retirement from the Air Force in 1963. They settled in Savannah at that time and lived in Windsor Forest for over fifty years. Mrs. Tucker was a longtime member of the Federal Association of Retired Federal Employees. She also was a member of Windsor Forest Baptist Church since settling in Savannah. Norris passed away in 2007, and she is survived by her two children. Her son, Clyde and his wife, Debra live in Vienna, VA, and her granddaughter, Kathleen Carter lives in Indianapolis. Her daughter, Marilyn and her husband Michael Marburger, as well as his son, Christopher, his wife, Stasia, and their children, Alyssa, Collin, and Sadie live in Savannah. Visitation will be held at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, from 5-7 pm, Monday, January 25th. The funeral service will be at Windsor Forest Baptist Church at 11 am, Tuesday, January 26th. The interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
