Mrs. Mitzie Coleman, wife of 66 years to the late William Alfred "Bill" Coleman, entered into rest Friday, September 1, 2017, at Benton House.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 2:00 PM, from the Storey Chapel of First Baptist Church of Augusta with Dr. Greg DeLoach officiating.

Mrs. Coleman, daughter of the late Viviley and E.D. Donaldson, was born in Mobile, AL and raised in Charleston, SC. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta where she was active in the Helping Hands Ministry and she was a member of the Grace Women's Sunday School Class. She volunteered for the English as a Second Language Program and at the Joseph M. Still Burn Unit.

She was preceded in death by her grandsons, Chris Badke and Troy Chavis.

She is survived by her children, Theresa Chavis (Larry), Robert David Coleman (Debbie), Carolyn Gertler (Charles), Shirley Badke (Jeff) and Daniel Coleman II (Michelle); and her grandchildren, Angela Cushman (Alan), David Coleman (Jemma), Daniel Coleman, III (MaryK), Clayton Coleman (Elizabeth), Joe Badke (Courtney), Kasey Ascani (Mike), and Michael Scott Coleman (Kylie); eight great grandchildren, Hunter Chavis, Tristin Chavis, Christopher Badke, Lily Lambert, Lucca Coleman, D.C. Coleman, Leia Coleman, Abigail Coleman and Benjamin Coleman; her sister, Susie Genualdi; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Grace Women's Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of Augusta.

If so desired memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Augusta Benevolence Fund, 3500 Walton Way Ext, Augusta, GA 30909; or to the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation, 3614 J Dewey Gray Circle, Augusta, GA 30909.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 5, 2017, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the Storey Chapel of First Baptist Church of Augusta.
