THOMSON, Ga. - Moses Z. Heath, Sr., was born on June 28, 1930 to the late Moses and Nellie Heath. On December 6, 2014, the Lord entered into his room at University Hospital McDuffie in Thomson, Georgia saying, My child, your work here is done, and it is time to rest. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal savior and joined the Rocky Branch Baptist Church in Norwood, Georgia. He was preceded in death by five sisters; Jessie Mae Heath, Mamie Lou Williams, Annie V. Heath, Catherine Heath, Viola Williams, and two brothers; Felts Heath and Johnnie B. Heath. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Mrs. Clara Mae Heath; three daughters, Barbara (Carson) Puriefoy of Sharon Hill, PA, Mary Helen (Curtis) Jackson of Thomaston, Ga, and Pauline (Calvin) Hubert of Carollton, Ga; four sons, Moses (Carolyn) heath, Jr., Charlie (Irene) Heath, Terrell (Janice) Heath, and Willie (Lowonder) Heath all of Norwood, Ga; one sister, Gussie D. Heath of Warrenton, Ga; three brothers in law, George Wicker of Atlanta, Ga., Willie James (Pauline) Wicker, and Nebraska Wicker both of Carrollton, Ga.; five sisters in law, Ida Mae Burley of Norwood, Ga., Lizzie Mae Seals, Lucille (Vernon) Swint both of Carrollton, Ga., Mary Alice Dotson and Louise Woods, both or Warrenton, Ga.; one aunt, Essie B. Dawson of Norwood, Gal 24 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing services will be Saturday, December 13, 2014, 12 p.m., at Rocky Branch Baptist Church.
