AUGUSTA, Ga. – Mrs. Naomi Cornelia "Baby Doll" Brown, beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated wife, entered into Heavenly rest Saturday, November 24, 2012 in Hephzibah, Georgia, at the age of 82 years, surrounded by loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Olin Brown, Sr.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. from Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 1714 Olive Road, Augusta, GA., Rev. Clarence Moore, pastor. Interment will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Brown was a native of Augusta, Georgia and a resident of New York City for 46 years, she lived a full life as a church pianist, choir director, gospel singer, recording artist, radio host, dramatist, artist, and teacher. At her church, Good Shepherd Baptist Church, she rendered faithful, loving service as Children's Church pianist.
Adored by her family, she leaves behind a son, Oscar Olin Brown, Jr.; one daughter, Lisa Olinette Brown Barefield; a goddaughter, Susan Hills Mondesire; two granddaughters, Nina Marie Giddings and Deja Imani Jones; son-in-law, Gary Barefield, and a host of relatives and friends.
