HARLEM, Ga. - Mrs. Patricia Whalen Branson, beloved wife of the late Mr. William A. Branson, entered into rest on Monday, December 29, 2014, at her home in Harlem. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, in the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Branson was a native of Marion County, Indiana, but has lived in Harlem for many years. She had worked in Apartment Management and also as a Real Estate Agent. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Also, Mrs. Branson was Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, Frances Bell Chapter #75, a Red Cross Volunteer, Metropolitan Life Insurance agent, Augusta Training Shop, Supervisor for Marketing Research in Augusta, and was V.A. Red Cross Volunteer of the year in 2009. Survivors include her sons, Randy (Jane) Cooke, Grovetown; Ronnie (Mary Ann) Cooke, Evans; her daughters, Pamela L. (Forester) Barger, Martinez; Vickie L. (Curtis) Coleman, Harlem; Patricia J. White, Florida; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Branson was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Icenhour. Pallbearers will be Alexander Edward Barger, Bryant Marcell Cox, George Ronald Cooke Jr., Curtis Samuel Coleman, Charles Randall Cooke, and Eric Drake.
