GROVETOWN, Ga. - Rene Lee "Smiley" Coker, 47, husband of Penny Coker, entered into rest Monday, February 8, 2016, at AU Medical Center. Memorial services will be held Friday, February 12, 2016, at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors. Mr. Coker, son of the late Irvin and Alosia Devinast Coker, was a native of Augusta and a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was employed as a Pipe Fitter/Welder with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #150. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Kincaid. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Brittany Coker, of Graniteville, SC, Courtney Coker, of SC, and Amanda Cummings, of Grovetown; his brothers, Carl Coker, of Alpharetta, GA, and Chester Coker, of Evans; his sister, Cathy Coker, of Grovetown; his grandchildren, Blaise Brooks, Axton Brooks, Lillian Jolley, Destannie Myers, and Rilynn Rawlins.
