Ret. Gy Sgt. Richard Oswald Brown, entered into rest July 30, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary with the Rev. Gerald Merriweather officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military honors. Mr. Brown, a native of Quitman, Georgia, retired from the United States Marine Corp after 21 years of service. He was a member and deacon of Grace Deliverance Church. Survivors include, his wife Mary L.B. Key Brown; four sons, Anthony R. (Emily) Brown, Otis (Stephanie) Johnson, Jr., Jeffery T. Bentley and Courtney D. Bentley; a brother, James B. Brown; 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call the residence or after 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. G. L.
